Biography

Don Alliss was born at home in Menlo, Iowa, to Lorraine A. Alliss, a baker and homemaker, and Walter G. Alliss Sr., a baker and entrepreneur. His father was from Michigan and mother from Iowa. Alliss grew up as the youngest of seven children. Growing up in the 70's and 80's Don loved everything about that era: the movies, music and video games. By the age of seventeen both parents had passed away due to health problems. Don's lifelong dream early on in life was to move to California and pursue an acting career. Don had a love of recreational sports and muscle cars which another dream was to build them and own a custom body shop. He has always had a love for television and movie cars so in 2003 he completed his first ground up restoration of his childhood hero movie car "General Lee" from the hit series The Dukes of Hazzard. The car had been sitting in a barn in South Dakota for 20 plus years; however Don brought the car back to life in a mere three years! Life eventually got in the way
