Biography

Mohammad Khalkhalian was born in Tehran, Iran in the 80s. As a teenager he already acted in the TV series "ZANG-E-AKHAR" and "MEMORIES" and in 2000 he successfully completed his acting training at the "IMANENT FACES" drama school in Tehran. Mohammad Khalkhalian was then involved in Iranian film projects such as "GISU MY MOTHER" and "LAST RUST" and the TV series "FREE DOWNFALL" as an actor, before he worked as an assistant director in 2015 for the production "Burns" by Wajdi Mouawad, directed by Mirko Borscht worked at the Bremen Theater. This encounter resulted in the collaboration at the Maxim Gorki Theater in the production "THE INBETWEEN SPEECH" as part of the 2nd Berlin Autumn Salon. As Mohammad Khalkhalian has been an actor in "Die Schutzbefohlenen" by Elfriede Jelinek, directed by Mirko Borscht, at Theater Bremen since 2016.
