Joey Palestina

Joey Palestina is an actor/writer/musician based in New York/Los Angeles. He is best known for his role as Sgt. Michael Fries in David Simon's, We Own This City, and Detective Harris on FBI. As a playwright, he wrote his first full length play WAVE_HEAD in 2020. An absurdist dark comedy about internet addiction. It was produced as part of LAByrinth Theater Company's 2021 Barn Series Readings. He is the co-creator of band's Paultra Violet and Thing-One. He's opened for acts such as Gin Blossoms, Matisyahu, Jukebox The Ghost, Moby and Ra Ra Riot. He's played venues such as New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Bowery Ballroom, Wellmont Theater, Mercury Lounge, Brooklyn Academy Of Music, Pianos and numerous colleges. He is a LAByrinth Theater Company Member. Joey is also co-creator of animated series Mental Fläuse. A mashup of Monty Python and Kids In The Hall in cartoon form alongside New Zealand artist Nicholas Setteducato. He has a BFA in Acting and an MA in Mental Health Counseling
