Biography

Molly Jane Chesworth is a British stage and television actress. She grew up in North Devon with her two younger brothers and comes from a creative family of dancers and musicians. She is the grand-daughter of ballet dancer John Chesworth OBE, who was Artistic Director of Ballet Rambert and founded the National Youth Dance Company. Through her father, British alt-country singer-songwriter Peter Bruntnell, she is related to operatic soprano Dame Felicity Lott. After leaving Exeter college, Molly studied acting for 3 years at the Oxford School of Drama. She graduated in 2017 and has performed in various stage productions including being selected for the Sam Wanamaker Festival at Shakespeare's Globe, London. Her most recent role theatre role was playing Josie in the 2018 UK tour of 'Teddy', for which she received rave reviews. She made her television debut in 2019 playing Jeannie Tennant in the British drama 'Call the Midwife'.
