Cecilly Day

Cecilly was that kid in school that always chose to do a presentation or perform a skit over writing a report when given an option on projects. Years of competitive sports tried to pull her away from the stage but she found it at last in grade 11 when she was cast in a Cinderella pantomime. Cecilly is a graduate of the University of Victoria where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. While she enjoyed discovering the history of theatre in the classroom, she always made sure to keep performing in the community as well. Cecilly performed in several musicals during her time in Victoria before taking a chance and auditioning for Theatre Under The Stars' production of Hairpsray, where she booked the iconic role of Motormouth Maybelle under the direction of Sarah Rodgers. Since then, Cecilly has been fortunate to perform in stage productions with local theaters such as The Arts Club, Pacific Theatre, Carousel Theatre, Urban Ink, and Geekenders.
