"As an artist, you dream that your work, when in the hands of the world, will make you feel less alone." Korean-Canadian playwright, screenwriter and director. She studied psychology at Queen's University in Ontario and moved to New York in 2014 to continue her studies at Columbia University pursuing a Masters in Playwriting; art through which she began to focus her narrative and conceptual interests on cultural duality and human relationships. In 2023 he releases "Past Lives", his feature film debut, with a script of her own, an outstanding direction and distribution by A24. Song's debut feature film was not only recognized by peers and eminences, but also was nominated for the Oscar and BAFTA for Best Feature Film ("Foreign Film" in the case of the British award) and Best Original Screenplay, and at the Golden Globes in the two aforementioned categories plus the one for Best Direction.
