Promising Young Woman (2020)

Cassie's current life does not fit with the expectations of those around her. Even so, her intelligence, wit and boldness lead her to cement an unthinkable double life. She intends to make amends for past mistakes and take revenge on those responsible. The feature debut of filmmaker Emerald Fennell is a dark and impressive film, tremendously dramatic and courageous. With a superb performance by Carey Mulligan, it is a fascinating film sharp in its social commentary: definitely a must-see.
