Crossing Lethe (2018)

Gary Lawson is an emotionally abusive lawyer, and Jacqueline 'Jackie' Page, his college sweetheart, has suffered him for many years. After their last fight, Jackie found herself waking up in a mental hospital with Gary standing over her and no memory of the last several years of their relationship. Gary begins to examine his actions, startled into self-reflection. He begins to realize the kind of person he is, and tries his best to improve himself, hoping that will bring Jackie back. Meanwhile, Jackie's rediscovery of her abused past and examination of her forgotten relationship infuriates and confuses her, but she's sure there was a reason she fell in love with Gary in the first place. This leads to a final choice: Forget the past, and allow the relationship to die, or reconcile and trust the "new" Gary.
