Storyline:  A Tamil freedom fighter flees Sri Lanka's civil war, taking an unknown woman and girl with him to pose as his family and gain asylum in Europe. In Paris, they struggle to rebuild their lives while he works as a caretaker for a block of apartments, but neighborhood violence forces him to confront his past and protect his new, makeshift family.
