Manchester by the Sea (2016)

Plot Summary

This drama begins with a family duel, that of Lee Chandler's brother, a lonely janitor living in Boston who returns to his hometown of Manchester-by-the-Sea to care for his teenage nephew, Patrick. As his guardian-in-charge, Lee tries to assume his responsibility even though tragic events from his past cause him to close down emotionally. The film is a moving exploration of loss and grief, and features excellent performances from the cast, particularly Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams.
