A man gets shot in the gut, somehow, by a crazed lady firing a wild round at a closed door.

A flashback to the aftermath of a car accident where a surviving woman's head is noticeably bleeding. The occupants of the other vehicle are also pretty bloody with a man unable to move his lower limbs and a woman discovering her child had died (off-camera).

A 3 year old in her mom's arms gets tossed onto the pavement amid a foot chase to buy the mother a chance to flee their attacker... but, psych, turns out it's only a dummy dum-dum.
