Storyline:  Bathsheba Everdene, an independent young woman, earns her living tending a farm. In turn, she has three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a cattle rancher; Frank Troy, a sergeant; and William Boldwood, a mature bachelor. Based on the novel by Thomas Hardy, this romantic drama directed by Thomas Vinterberg features a superb performance by Carey Mulligan and a stunning level of production at the service of a story that has already become a classic in literature and film.
