The farmer drags a man to a barn.(the man isn't visible)

After Edward's father captures the man, we see him drag the man out of a hole and attach a rope around the man's neck and hang him from a beam of the barn. The man's face is beat up and bruised. The farmer points his shotgun at the man.

A little bit later, we see the man hanging dead from the rope, grasping the his neck.

There are pictures in a comic book of aliens shooting soldiers.
