The hero engages in a number of fights with the dealers of the illegal drugs and goes on the run with a woman who had been held hostage by the gang.
Many of the scenes of violence feature some fairly crunchy hand to hand fighting but little injury detail is shown.
Some of the blows do result in small trickles of blood being seen on mouths and noses but there is no undue focus on the bloodshed.
As the film reaches its climax the strength of the violence increases.
In one sequence the hero is held in a water-filled pen and the bad guys all kick footballs at him, each ball striking the hero in the face in slow motion.
Shortly after this he disarms a machete-wielding thug and, it is implied, stabs the man with his own weapon.
The thug is seen with a bloody red patch on his shirt.
The moment when the main villain is knocked out includes some slow motion punches and kicks to the man's head and body and there is a brief spurt of blood seen flying from the man's mouth before he falls to the ground.
