Paranormal Camcorder (2013)

Paranormal Camcorder combines the true stories of two friends who came to California in search of the Hollywood dream. Jim is an average Joe working 9 to 5 whose life is turned upside down when strange things start to happen in his new apartment. Brett is a burned out actor frustrated with his inability to shake his reputation as a Tom Cruise wannabe. As Jim starts to document the supernatural happenings in his North Hollywood apartment, Brett is inspired to pick up his own camera and attempts to make a trailer in order to attract financing for his ultimate Tom Cruise biopic. While Jim navigates the world of hokey psychics and terrifying occult research in order to solve the mystery of his haunted apartment, Brett sets out on a quest to find the right leading lady and investors to make his ultimate tribute to Tom Cruise a reality. Drama and awkward comedy collide in the most original mash up of found footage ever assembled. The film culminates in the efforts of both amateur filmmakers being revealed in shocking fashions. Hollywood and the struggle for success has been captured in many films over the years, but never in the way that it has been filtered through the lens of Paranormal Camcorder.
