Anna Karenina (2012)

Plot Summary

Set in the late 19th century, the story revolves around Anna Karenina, a young woman of russian high society and wife of Alexei Karenin. Her affair with Count Vronsky causes a scandal and she faces a crossroads when her husband induces her to go into exile, unable to see her son again. Based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, this film directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley is a melodrama that stands out thanks to its high-impact visuals and Dario Marianelli's soundtrack.
