Storyline:  As Kaiju rise from the Pacific Ocean, a war ensues, consuming humanity's resources. To fight back, humans build Jaegers, massive robots controlled by two pilots. As Kaiju grow stronger, Earth's defenses falter. In desperation, a washed-up former pilot and an untested trainee are paired to operate a Jaeger and stop the apocalypse.
