My Week with Marilyn (2011)

Plot Summary

Colin Clark is assistant director on the film "The Prince and the Showgirl". Its director, Laurence Olivier, chooses Marilyn Monroe as co-star and the arrival of the actress in England raises a lot of publicity, although the production is not at all easy. Colin befriends Marilyn, who is experiencing work and personal burnout. Michelle Williams and Kenneth Branagh were nominated for Oscars for their performances in this warmly evocative portrayal of a period in the life of the iconic actress.
