The Artist (2011)

Plot Summary

A silent film star, George Valentin, faces the decline of his career as the imminence of sound films arrives to stay. As these events unfold, he falls in love with a dancer, Peppy Miller, who in turn begins to take off in her own film blossom. Will his career, and more importantly his sanity, survive this inevitable transformation? This french film that pays homage to the Hollywood film industry won 5 Oscars, including best film, director and actor.
