Storyline:  Arn Magnusson, a son of an influential dynasty in 12th-century Sweden, is raised and trained by the Cistercian monks after a turbulent youth. Taught archery, swordsmanship, and horsemanship by a former Knight Templar, Arn grows skilled in combat. After a forbidden romance with Cecilia Algotsdotter, he faces severe consequences: she is confined to a convent, and he is sent to the Holy Land as a Knight Templar to do penance.
