Interstellar (2014)

Plot Summary

On an Earth scarce of natural resources for human survival, a series of mysterious events lead former pilot Cooper to find a secret research station. He is recruited for a space mission to find a new planet for humans. But to take on this mission, he is faced with the dilemma of leaving his children behind and not knowing when he will return. Is this anguish over the passing of time (for the human species, for the family, for the astronauts) that a tense space adventure is built, where the race against the clock reveals human impotence and power.
