Storyline:  During the Taiping Rebellion, loyalist General Qingyun survives a rebel ambush and is taken in by villagers turned bandits. Befriending leaders Zhao Erhu and Jiang Wuyang, he convinces them to form a loyalist army, and the trio swears a blood oath. Their victories bring fame, but political schemes and shifting loyalties threaten to destroy their brotherhood.
