Storyline:  Rebecca, a young American living in Jerusalem, abruptly ends her engagement to her Israeli fiancé and, in shock, hails a taxi to escape. The driver, Hanna, reluctantly lets her join on a trip to Jordan’s Free Zone, where she plans to meet her husband’s Palestinian business partner, “The American.” Instead, they encounter Leila, a Palestinian woman who, after tense exchanges with Hanna, offers to take them to the oasis where “The American” resides. Their journey becomes an uneasy crossing of cultural, political, and personal boundaries.
