Storyline:  During the Vietnam War, U.S. fighter pilot Dieter Dengler is captured in Laos. Enduring torture, hunger, and illness in a POW camp, Dengler and his fellow prisoners await their chance to escape. Director Werner Herzog crafts a compelling tale of man versus nature, with Christian Bale immersing himself in Dengler's role. Engaging and gripping, this movie is a must-watch.
