Storyline:  In 1964 Ireland, three young women find themselves cast away to a Magdalene Asylum, one of the notorious institutions for so-called “fallen” women. Run like prisons under the control of a harsh religious order, these convents force the girls into endless laundry work and punishing labor, leaving them broken in body and spirit. As they suffer under the cruelty of Sister Bridget and the oppressive system, the young women form a fragile bond. Together, they realize that the only hope of freedom lies in escape, though the price may be devastating.
