Happiness Costs Nothing (2003)

Sergio, a bright 40-year-old architect, fulfilled in life, is well-off, admired and beloved. Self-confident in all circumstances, he lives life in the fast lane. One day, he is the victim of a car accident, from which he emerges unscathed but not unchanged. Now well aware of the price of life, Sergio rises against all the falseness around him. But such a stance shuts himself off from others and depression threatens him. One evening, he meets a woman on a bank of the Tiber. Much to his horror, he realizes that the lady - who fascinates him - is on the verge of flinging herself into the river. Fortunately, he manages to stop her. He then takes care of her, not without falling in love with her. But she disappears.
