A Walk to Remember (2002)

Based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, the story focuses on two teenagers whose lives intersect in a small coastal town: Landon, a popular and rebellious student, ends up forming a friendship with Jamie, a serious and devoted girl of faith who keeps a secret. With their personalities so opposite, it was unlikely that the two would have any kind of connection, but they learn that life is so much more than high school. A romantic drama that launched the careers of Mandy Moore (who also sings the song "Only Hope" for the film's soundtrack) and Shane West, it is at once tender, enjoyable and touching.
