Storyline: This spin-off follows on from "The Mummy Returns" (2001) but is set 5,000 years in the past and revisits the character of the Scorpion King, inspired by a legendary egyptian warrior. In the city of Gomorrah, an evil ruler, Memnon, intends to annihilate the nomadic tribes. Mathayus, an assassin, is chosen to infiltrate into the enemy camp and kill the soothsayer who advises Memnon, but something unexpected happens. Although it is plagued by historical inaccuracies, the charismatic presence of Dwayne Johnson made the film an instant success.
