Storyline:  A German soldier, Clemens Forell, is captured by the Soviets and sentenced to 25 years in a Siberian Gulag. Facing a grueling journey, Forell escapes with the help of a camp doctor. Traversing the vast, harsh Siberian wilderness, he battles extreme weather, wildlife, and human threats. Along the way, he encounters gold diggers, nomadic herders, and narrowly escapes Soviet recapture. Determined to return to his family, Forell's resilience is continually tested.
