Storyline:  George Monroe, divorced and living in a decaying beach shack, is fired from his job and learns he has terminal cancer. Choosing not to tell his family, he decides to build a house of his own and invites his troubled teenage son Sam to spend the summer with him, hoping to repair their strained bond before time runs out.
