Storyline:  In 1911 Wales, Solomon, a young Jewish fabric seller, hides his identity to work door-to-door. He falls in love with Gaenor, a local woman unaware of his background. When she becomes pregnant and discovers the truth, rising antisemitism and violent riots force them to flee, leading to their separation.
