Any Given Sunday (1999)

The Miami Sharks used to be at the pinnacle of american soccer, but the team has been losing and spirits are low. Meanwhile, manager Tony D'Amato is dealing with a marital crisis and a difficult relationship with his children, as well as a confrontation with the president and co-owner of the Sharks organization, Christina Pagniacci. Directed by Oliver Stone, this sports drama manages sustained intensity, is visually dizzying, features a terrific cast and a terrific soundtrack.
