Storyline:  Alice begins to have a passionate affair with Adam, a mysterious stranger with whom she shares sexual encounters filled with desire and eroticism. While she risks everything to be with him, when secrets from Adam's past come to light, she finds herself in a very peculiar situation from which she cannot easily escape. Based on a novel by Nicci French, this romantic thriller directed by Chen Kaige was panned by critics, yet it is engaging and entertaining to watch.
