Storyline: The film chronicles Peppino Impastato, a young activist in 1970s Sicily who openly challenged local Mafia authority through satirical radio broadcasts when public acknowledgment of organized crime was rare. Despite proximity to Mafia boss Tano Badalamenti's residence, Peppino persistently exposed criminal operations until his 1978 death in an explosion initially ruled accidental. His supporters contested official conclusions. Based on actual events, the case was eventually reinvestigated decades later, with Badalamenti subsequently convicted for narcotics offenses in America.
