Mary Magdalene is portrayed as a prostitute.

Jesus is confronted by Satan in a semi-disturbing scene.

Jesus overturns tables in a temple and screams in anger.

A man's ear is cut off and we see blood running down the side of his face (Jesus re-attaches the ear and the blood disappears).

Jesus is whipped and then forced to carry the cross - we see blood on his face and body. He is later crucified and dies.

The final scenes of the film, dealing with Jesus' sentencing and crucifixion, may be unsettling and intense to some.
