Storyline:  One of Brazil's greatest directors, a founder of Cinema Novo, Glauber Rocha presents a latin american fictional country that is sparkling with the internal struggle for political power. The jaded journalist Paulo Martins opposes two equally corrupt political candidates: a pseudo-populist and a conservative. But, in this complex tropical reality, nothing really is what it seems to be. Paulo Autran's iconic performance in this film is always remembered.
