Storyline:  Rachel Cameron, a 35-year-old teacher in Japonica, Connecticut, lives with her widowed mother above a funeral home. Reserved and prone to daydreams, she avoids change and hides behind excuses. When childhood acquaintance Nick Kazlik shows interest and her friend Calla Mackie sparks new experiences, Rachel slowly confronts her repressed emotions and the uncertain path they may take.
