Storyline:  In 1960s Japan, a con artist couple scams drivers with fake hit-and-runs. As their son Toshio joins the act, real injuries and abuse mount. While the mother dreams of settling down, the father clings to the scam. Toshio, trapped in dysfunction, finds refuge in fantasy and begins questioning the life he’s been forced into.
