Storyline:  Mathias, a Belgian linguist, lives with Anne, a French theatre producer. After a heated quarrel over moral questions, the couple boards a train to attend a congress. But when Mathias falls asleep, Anne mysteriously vanishes. The train halts in the countryside, and Mathias disembarks with two strangers: the older Hernhutter and the young Val. When the train departs without them, the trio stumbles upon a nearby village. To their dismay, they cannot understand a single word the locals speak, trapping them in a disorienting and surreal linguistic nightmare.
