Storyline:  As the Allied forces close in on Paris in August 1944, German Colonel Von Waldheim grows desperate to spirit away France’s greatest art treasures to Germany. Despite the mounting chaos of retreat, he manages to secure a train to carry the priceless cargo. The French Resistance, however, is determined to stop the looting — though they’re under strict orders from London not to destroy the artworks. Station master Paul Labiche, responsible for keeping the train running, is also a member of a dwindling resistance cell. Together, they devise an ingenious plan to keep the train — and France’s cultural heritage — from ever leaving the country.
