Storyline:  Ambitious TVA administrator Chuck Glover arrives in a small Tennessee town to clear land for a new dam. His mission is challenged by 80-year-old matriarch Ella Garth, who refuses to abandon her home. As Chuck struggles to win her consent, he unexpectedly falls in love with Ella’s granddaughter, Carol Garth Baldwin, complicating his task and his future.
