Storyline:  In 1787, the HMS Bounty departs Portsmouth bound for Tahiti to collect breadfruit for transport to the West Indies. Captain Bligh enforces harsh discipline to speed the voyage, creating unbearable conditions for the crew. After the respite of Tahiti’s paradise, the return journey sparks revolt, as first officer Fletcher Christian leads a mutiny against Bligh.
