Storyline:  At the turn of the 20th century in Turin, Italy, exploited textile factory workers endure exhausting hours and inhumane conditions until their growing frustration sparks the beginnings of organized resistance. When Professor Sinigaglia (Marcello Mastroianni), a socialist intellectual, arrives to guide them, their scattered anger takes shape into a collective struggle. As they organize a strike, the workers discover both the power and the cost of solidarity in their fight for dignity and justice.
