Storyline:  Maciek, a young Resistance fighter, is ordered to assassinate Szczuka, a Communist leader, on the final day of World War II. Though he's killed before without hesitation, this time it's different: Szczuka is a fellow soldier. As peace dawns, Maciek faces a profound moral conflict between duty and conscience, questioning the cost of loyalty, the meaning of freedom, and whether the war inside him has truly ended.
