Storyline:  While hitchhiking west with his brother Connie, Midge Kelly is thrust into boxing and quickly discovers his talent for fighting. A failed marriage and years of struggle push him to chase glory in the ring. As success brings money and women, his arrogance grows, and the once-idealistic fighter turns into a selfish champion consumed by ambition.
