Storyline:  In medieval Lombardy, archer Dardo Bartoli leads a revolt against the occupying Hessians, driven by vengeance against their commander, Count Ulrich “The Hawk,” who stole his wife Francesca and later his young son Rudi. Dardo retaliates by capturing Ulrich’s niece, Anne, and soon becomes the symbol of a rebellion determined to free his people from tyranny.
