Storyline:  In a wealthy California suburb, Susan Gilvray calls the police after spotting a prowler outside her home. Officer Webb Garwood responds and soon begins an affair with her, despite her being married to late-night broadcaster John Gilvray. When Susan ends the relationship, Webb secretly plots John’s death, staging it as an accident. Cleared of blame, Webb leaves the force, wins Susan back, and marries her. But when Susan reveals she is four months pregnant on their wedding night, suspicion threatens to expose everything.
