High Noon (1952)

When Frank Miller is released from prison, he intends to reunite with his gang and seek revenge. Will Kane, the sheriff who put him in prison, turns to the townspeople he has protected for years for support. But they all abandon him and the approaching confrontation he must face it alone. One of the most iconic westerns in american cinema and one that has aged well, with a strong performance by Gary Cooper, excellent supporting characters and a story told with a remarkable handling of tension.
