A strangled woman is seen lying on an apartment floor next to an unconscious man. A man committed to a psychiatric hospital is hostile and uncommunicative; he is judged by some doctors to be a "homocidal maniac." During a visit, he attacks the male visitor and is put in solitary confinement. In an apartment, two men struggle over a gun; one man gets beaten until he collapses.
