Storyline:  In 19th century London, young Oliver Twist endures the harsh realities of orphanhood in a workhouse until his defiant request for more food sets him on a tumultuous journey. Escaping to the city, he falls in with a gang of pickpockets. But when Oliver finds unexpected kindness with a wealthy benefactor, he begins to glimpse a life beyond crime. Yet, sinister forces conspire to reclaim him, threatening to take away his newfound happiness and reveal his identity.
